My campaign was paused. What happened?

Occasionally our team will flag a campaign for review. When this happens, the campaign is funding-frozen — it stays public, but contributors can't donate while the review is in progress.

Reasons we might pause a campaign include:

• Suspected fraud or identity issues
• Reports from contributors
• Sudden unusual contribution patterns
• Information in the pitch that violates our rules

You'll receive an email explaining the reason. Most reviews resolve within a few business days. If we determine the campaign violates our rules, it will be cancelled and contributions refunded.
