When do I have to verify my identity?

Identity verification with Stripe

You verify your identity when you set up payouts — and you can do that whenever you're ready, before or after your campaign goes live. We use our payments partner, Stripe, to handle verification securely; More to Roam never sees or stores your ID or bank details.

Your campaign can launch and collect Contributions first. The funds are held safely for you, and everything transfers automatically once you finish payout setup on the Payouts page (identity verification + bank details).

Requirements for travelers under 18

If you are a minor (under 18), a Responsible Party (a parent or legal guardian) must complete the identity verification and link a bank account on your behalf — and for travelers under 18 this must happen before the campaign can go live. They will be asked to provide their own information during the secure Stripe onboarding process.
