How much does a gap year in Europe cost?
A month of Interrailing typically costs £2,000–£3,500 all in. Western Europe (Paris, Amsterdam, Scandinavia) is expensive; Portugal, Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans stretch your money much further.
Is Interrail cheaper than flying?

Do I need a visa for Europe?
Not for short stays — UK passport holders can spend up to 90 days in any 180 in the Schengen area. The EU's ETIAS travel authorisation adds a small fee once it launches.
