    About This Page

More to Roam operates as an online platform that allows users to create and share travel fundraising campaigns. In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act, or DSA), we publish this page to provide transparency about our compliance obligations and to make our contact points easily accessible.

Contact Point for Regulatory Authorities (Article 11)

Member state Digital Services Coordinators, the European Commission, and other competent authorities may direct DSA-related communications to our dedicated contact point:

    • Email: legal@moretoroam.com
    • Subject line: Please include "DSA Authority Request" in the subject line.
    • Languages: English
    • Response commitment: We acknowledge orders and information requests within 24 hours of receipt.

Contact Point for Users (Article 12)

Recipients of our service who have questions or concerns about our DSA obligations — including content moderation, notices of illegal content, or complaints — may contact us at:

    EU Legal Representative (Article 13)

Thane Digital LLC (trading as More To Roam), which delivers a digital service in the EU/EEA, has appointed Data Protection Representative Limited (trading as DataRep) as its Legal Representative for the purposes of the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) in the EU/EEA.

To raise a DSA-related question or to report illegal content, EU member-state authorities and recipients of the service may contact DataRep using any of the following:

    • Email: digitalrequest@datarep.com — please include “< More To Roam >” in the subject line.
    • Webform: www.datarep.com/data-request
    • Post: DataRep, The Cube, Monahan Road, Cork, T12 H1XY, Republic of Ireland. Mail must be marked for “DataRep” (not “More To Roam”) or it may not reach the representative.
    • Phone: +353 (1) 919 8899

For TCO-specific (Terrorist Content Online Regulation) contact details, see our TCO Legal Representative Contact page.

    Reporting Illegal Content (Article 14)

Any person may report content on More to Roam that they believe to be illegal or in violation of our policies. To report a campaign, use the "Report this campaign" button on any public campaign page, or contact us at legal@moretoroam.com.

We aim to review all reports within 7 business days. For reports involving illegal content under EU law, we prioritise processing in accordance with Article 15 of the DSA.

Our full content moderation policy is available at our Content Policy page.

    Statement of Reasons (Article 17)

When we restrict, remove, suspend, or otherwise act on content or an account under our Content Policy or applicable law, the affected user receives a Statement of Reasons. We deliver this notice through the user's registered email and, where applicable, within the platform. The Statement of Reasons sets out:

    • The decision taken and its territorial scope (for example, removed, restricted in the EU, demoted, demonetised)
    • The factual circumstances and reasons for the decision, including whether it was triggered by a user notice or by our own initiative
    • Whether automated means were used in the detection or in the decision itself
    • The legal ground, where the decision was based on an alleged illegality, or the contractual ground from our Terms of Service or Content Policy where the decision was based on incompatibility with those rules
    • Information on the redress avenues available to the user, including our internal complaint-handling system (Article 20), out-of-court dispute settlement (Article 21), and the possibility of judicial redress

Where the European Commission's DSA Transparency Database is in operation, we submit Statements of Reasons to that database in line with Article 24(5).

    Appeals and Complaints (Article 20)

If your campaign or content has been restricted, paused, or cancelled by More to Roam, you have the right to appeal that decision. To submit an appeal, use the link provided in the notification email you received, or contact us at legal@moretoroam.com with your campaign details.

We aim to respond to all appeals within 14 business days.

    Out-of-Court Dispute Settlement (Article 21)

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your internal appeal, you may also seek resolution through an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified by a Digital Services Coordinator. We will update this section with specific certified bodies as they are designated by member state Digital Services Coordinators.

In the meantime, the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform may be a useful reference: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

    Trusted Flaggers (Article 22)

Notices submitted by entities that have been awarded the status of Trusted Flagger under Article 22 of the DSA by the Digital Services Coordinator of an EU member state are prioritised in our content-moderation queue and processed without undue delay. Trusted Flaggers should submit notices through the same channel as other Article 14 notices and indicate their Trusted Flagger status in the submission:

    • Email: legal@moretoroam.com — please include "Trusted Flagger Notice" in the subject line and reference the awarding DSC.
    • We measure and report, in our annual Transparency Report (Article 24), the number of notices submitted by Trusted Flaggers, the category of alleged illegal content, and the action taken.
    • If we believe a Trusted Flagger has submitted a significant number of insufficiently precise, inaccurate, or inadequately substantiated notices, we will follow the suspension and reporting procedure set out in Article 23.

Government Orders (Articles 9 and 10)

More to Roam responds to lawful orders from judicial or administrative authorities of EU member states to act against illegal content or to provide information. We are committed to the following response standards:

    • We acknowledge all orders within 24 hours of receipt.
    • We inform the issuing authority without undue delay of actions taken or reasons for non-action.
    • Orders should be sent to legal@moretoroam.com with "DSA Authority Request" in the subject line.

    Transparency Report (Article 24)

In accordance with Article 24 of the DSA, More to Roam publishes an annual transparency report containing statistics about content moderation activities.

Our transparency report is available at our Transparency Report page.

Average Monthly Active Recipients in the EU (Article 24(2))

Article 24(2) of the DSA requires online platforms to publish, at least every six months, information on the average monthly active recipients of the service in the European Union. More to Roam's current calculation period covers the six months preceding publication.

Average monthly active recipients in the EU: Below the Very Large Online Platform (VLOP) threshold of 45 million set out in Article 33. The first formal six-monthly calculation under Article 24(2) is scheduled for publication in Q3 2026; the figure for the preceding period reflects the service's pre-launch status in the EU and is being measured in line with the European Commission's guidance on calculating active recipients.

We will update this disclosure with the calculated figure on the publication schedule above. Should our average monthly active recipients approach the 45 million VLOP threshold, we will notify the Digital Services Coordinator of Ireland (as our country of establishment for DSA purposes via our Article 13 representative) and the European Commission in accordance with Article 24(3).

    Protection of Minors (Article 28)

More to Roam is a youth-focused platform. We take the safety and privacy of minors extremely seriously. Our measures for protecting minors include:

    • A responsible party (parent or guardian) must be registered for campaigns involving minors
    • AI-assisted content moderation screens all campaign content before publication
    • Analytics tracking is restricted for users under 18
    • All reports involving child safety are escalated to a senior reviewer immediately

Our full child safety policy is described in our Content Policy and Terms of Service.
